The City of Stockton is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to organize, plan, manage and evaluate the activities of our Property and Evidence Section.

The position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the receipt, preservation, and release of property and evidence in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and City ordinances.  Requires equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of supervisory and administrative experience with a police property management system, preferably with computerized police systems and records processing.  Must possess a valid California driver's license.  Must be willing to handle firearms.  must pass a pre-employment medical examination, which will include urine drug screen and a detailed background investigation performed by the Stockton Police Department.

Salary Range: $40,308 -$51,744, (Plus excellent benefit package including City-paid PERS).  Final Filing Date: 5:00 p.m., April 2, 2001
