This position will prepare, identify and maintain criminal identification records and evidence as part of the investigation and prosecution work of the Police Department. Duties include photographing and video taping of crime scenes; fingerprinting suspects, prisoners and corpses; searching, identifying and collecting physical evidence, i.e., hair fiber and trace evidence collection. One year experience organizing and maintaining complicated and detailed filing systems plus additional special training in evidence collection, law enforcement or a related field can substitute for required experience.
