| For the past 28 years,
Nancy Masters has worked in the field of fingerprint identification. She
has trained law enforcement personnel in using the skills of her profession.
For 2 1/2 years she worked for the California Department of Justice, Bureau
of Forensic Service, as a Safety Officer. While there, she wrote safety
documents and procedures and trained personnel on safety issues. In 1987
she received the California Governor's Safety Award.
Ms. Masters received her Bachelor of Arts degree and a
Secondary Teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento,
majoring in Police Science and is an instructor with the California Crimilalistics
Institute. She has participated in developing the curriculum for its courses
in Latent Print Techniques, Specialized Latent print Techniques, and Latent
Print Comparisons. These courses are offered to individuals in law enforcement
throughout the United States.
In her vast experience, Ms Masters has spoken to law enforcement
personnel throughout the United States and to the Israel National Police
Academy in Ne'urim, Israel.
Ms. Masters assisted in writing the Clandestine Laboratory
Manual of Instruction and Procedure (CLMIP) currently used by law enforcement
agencies throughout the western United States. Her first book, recently
published, is Safety for the Forensic Identification Specialist.
